Inside the Law School Scam is a must-read if you are considering going to law school. The premise (which is entirely correct) is that law schools charge too much money for a service which is not particularly valuable and lie about employment statistics. Law school gives you access to the profession, but it does not teach you how to practice law. I enjoy lawyering, and have lucked into working at a great firm. However, the job market out there is not what it once was, and law school costs a fortune. There are pros and cons to going to law school, but it is a decision that should be made very carefully. I will happily talk to anyone who is making the decision about whether or not to go to law school; just shoot me an e-mail.
